Ahhh, the true mark of a treasure hunter who spends lots of time swinging his detector----we can't help but become  poop experts  After how many times have we been accused of being full of it? Cheesy

Well guys and gals, I hate to dissagree with some of you but this particular specimen is not a meteorite nor is it a coprolite.  Idiot

It is just a stone simular to the septerian nodules, commonly found throughout the world.
The one pictured is rather naturally worn.
Exposure to the sun may have caused it to brown out as it has.
I will attach a pic of two that calcite crystalizatin is not worn down but the matrix they were embedded in is, exposing the calcite crystal growth.

My input it is nothing more than a fossil mud ball. Idea

Doesn't look like any meteorite I have ever seen, or pictures I've seen of them.  Gotta admit it does look a lot like Mudflap's unworn examples.

But I have to say, I really like the coprolite theory best!  I really enjoyed the conversation that theory spawned!                   Wise                 Detecting

Maybe we don't know sh*t about poop after all.   Based on past records and areas of expertise, if out4gold says he doesn't think it is a cropolite the odds are he's right.   (of course he could be wrong).

Well...  Poop!  If this one is solved I guess we won't be talking about it much more.   I was looking forward to having a longer coprolite conversation and investigation!    Although, this was turning into a kind of sh!tty discussion!          Detecting      Wise
