14K gold one, that is! Shocked I was in the Relics mode at #4 sensitivity when I got a two-way "foil" signal. Since I was in a tot lot, I use the lowest disc. I can live with and dig all. It has red stones for eyes, and 4 diamond-looking stones around the clasp. Thanks for looking. Waveing

Yeah, it was an earring. Whenever I'm in a tot lot, I keep it in Relics mode, which is right at nail reject, to make sure I don't miss too much gold. I tried two other detectors which have a preset min. disc. and they only got the signal weakly and it had to be close to the coil.

yep small golld items often ring up as foil --- womens rings / small rings often ring up as "tabs" ---and mens rings / class rings as "nickle" ---with the ace 250  always dig any nickle signal!!! --- all metal mode gets the most depth --- notch out the "iron " or go custom mode * one of my favorites --since it "remembers" your settings --even after being shut off -- until you reset it or the battery is dead a good bit.
