Hello Emad

I do not think they are Ancient markings pre dating thosands of years.

Looking at the marks themselves there appears two distinct styles. For example the marks on the left has been cut deeper into the rock, possibly with a chisel. the marks on the right appears to be made by hammering the rock, creating a mark by impact. Question why would one person change how they are marking the rock? For me it indicates 2 different people have added marks to the rock.

Perhaps symbols were made  around the same time because there is no great discoloration of the exposed rock differences between them. The markings represent astrological Symbols.

On the far left and far right is symbols of the cresent of the moon seen in both waning and waxing stages. Second mark from the right is the symbol for venus. The Two lines above one another is an symbol for Aquarius. The Symbol Aquarius could mean water or Man. Venus for woman. You have moon, Venus, Aquarius, Venus  then moon.

Hardluck

 Hello Emad

I think there is some thing of interest in the bottom right side of the photo. Are you able to get back to the location or have more photos of this area. I found it interesting, and thanks for your post.

Hello Emad

2 possabilites I could think of.

Is the location of these Markings close to the border of Northern Yemen?

Many ancient cultures had ritual cleansing of hands and feet. It is possible that an ancient Philistine trading along the spice route with Sheba (part of present day Yemen) had been in contact with a corpse perhaps a burial and under ritual tradition had to clense hands and feet? And used ancient astrological marks to ritual purify the deceased.  There might be an ancient grave nearby?

If the location is in North western Saudi Arabia Then the astromonical figures might be connected to the zodiacal signs originates in Babylonian ("Chaldean") astronomy during the first half of the 1st millennium BC, likely during Median/"Neo-Babylonian" times (7th century BC), The region at the time extended into Saudi Arabia.

The problem is I need have a better clue to where these markings have been found?

emad, don't know about the hand marks but we have a contributor in Armenia that came across a perfectly carved set of foot prints. They had to be carved and not imprinted because the rock was lava.
