my dad used to drive friends to eastern oregon every year. at the same spot every they had him stop se she could go out in the bushes. after the 3rd or 4th year, he asked why. they showed him a handkerchief filled with nuggets.they explained that was their bank. once a year they got a cup or. so of nuggets to supplement their retirement. they never asked him to go back. no one knew of the blue bucket then, so it wasnt pursued. i was researching the wagon train&had dad in that country one year rockhunting. he mentioned he had stopped there many times. it tied in with my research. why havent i gone after them? i really dont know. we all procrastinate. sometime we cant afford the trip,some time, sometime, sometime. i figure i better do it soon. had it planned with one son last summer. hope to go this coming summer. have to pretty soon-69 and counting.
