I recently spent a day detecting with the "North Wales Dirt Diggers" on a Welsh hill farm. I didn't find any gold, silver, or treasure but I had a great day out.

 Sounds like ya all had a good outing.

Are you all have problems finding Land Owners that will let you Hunt?

With all the Finds in the Past Years I would think they would welcome you.

They Get Half, Right?

How do you split up finds in a club?

Finders Keepers or does the Club get the Royal Fifth Via the Finder?

At present we have some four farms where we can hunt as a club and we chip in five pounds a head to pay the farmer for the permission to hunt on his land. At present, we haven't put down any rules for sharing. Maybe we should get something written up before we stumble on a hoard!

Sounds like a good deal with the Farmers.

They know there going to get half any ways and this way they get a bit of Cream.

Good Stuff from you all.

Yep, the Ugly will show up if you all or anyone of you hit the big one some day.

Best to come to a agreement before hand I would think.

Mr. Ugly waiting for the opportunity. Put something in witting before the good stuff come alone.
Perhaps that by paying the farmer it put his share on a different category.

Hi Nickel,
             I must confess that I hadn't given the matter a lot of thought; I have been enjoying myself just getting addicted to the bleeps and learning to use my new EuroAce. I spose we should lay down some ground rules for a big find. I remember, many years ago, my wife and I used to go to a local club and play the bandits there. On several ocasions we dropped the jackpot and gave 50% of it to a couple that we drank with. The night that our friends dropped the jackpot, we didn't see a penny! One lives and learns!  Sad

             In the event of a big find I would like to think that the farmer would still get 50% and the other 50% would go to the finder; or be split among the members on the dig. We shall see.  Smiley
