I havent bought it yet.
But the one I have the most fun with is a Harbor Freight 6 function (Chicago Tools) nail hunter. It has a analog meter, is a no motion machine with a small coil. Very light. Makes a neat sound the closer you get to the target, and the meter will tell you if its mineral or metal. I use it for pinpointing and parking lot scanning.
Its funny, air test is 5 inches. But it will go deep on iron stuff in the ground.
Pull tabs and the like doesnt effect it like my more modern Bounty Hunter. But it does not like wet ground, or high mineral rocky ground.
Its a manual ground balance, with a botton on the handle to reset it to zero when you change ground type.
I think its funny as the manual actually calls it a nail hunter.
