Hi Mike,
We were just lucky there was no wind.   Great Great
Unfortunately the older I get the more I feel the cold.   Wise Wise Wise

At least we got out and soothed our cabin fever.

draaiorgel , you know I have never hunted a beach ever, and there are several around me as I live right at Lake Ontario...we all have our favs..but I would rather dig a nice cannonball worth $75 than a $500 ring..I am happy we all hunt for differant things..or my hunting would be that much harder. I have spent hours digging the back stop of an 1860s Military rifle range...just to get the fired muzzle loaded rounds..in the UK people complain about digging musketballs and other type rounds...guess it's all in what you want....
Good lluck for the upcoming season!!! and remember things that are lost on a sand beach..that sink below the range of metal detectors...work there way up away from the water until the are stopped by a seawall or something else....I have a good book written about that in the 60s!!

Go Up Go Down

As we've built up experience on our beaches,
we can usually see at a glance if the sand level is up or down.
That's a great help in itself, but we are also more attuned
to our machines now and able to get the finds deeper than before.
I've also got a pair of good quality headphones coming very soon,
and seriously contemplating getting the large coil
for my Ace sometime this year.

As time goes by every little bit will add to our totals, because we're always striving
to get more each year.

Last year we were about ?300 up on the previous year,
and we've set ourselves an easy target for this year.
So it should go fairly smoothly for us, if we get a good summer
we should rocket past our target easily.

Oops, I'm beginning to waffle on, better stop in case I'm borin' ya.

I suggest you try and cancel the Electroscope 20 Order. Its not a Metal Detector like the Minelab Products.
A bent wire Coat Hanger will give the same Results at a very low Cost.
Carl at Geotech wrote a nice Test Report about these things.
Too bad the Electroscope 20 Report is not readable at the Moment, but

Hello Jim,

I fully agree witg Sauerkraut. The Electroscope is a Long Range locator which is supposed to work very different to a metal detector. However up to today there has been no valid proof it works ata ll and infact you often find non-connected electronics, cut down junk electronics etc. inside them. So better cancel your order and stay away from them!

Regards,

Christian

Shocked Cry  WOW!!!  Thanks guys!  I really appreciate your help.  I did try to find stuff on the internet about the electroscope regarding how it worked and its validity and could not find anything and see it advertised in my gpaa magazines. I thought they would  have some integrety in selling somthing that doesnt work.  I looked on their site for a field test for the elctroscope and could not find one.
I feel stupid now Undecided ... arrg.  It is suppose to be here on monday....arrg.   And now I find out it is dowsing too.... Against my religious beliefs... geepers...
Thanks again guy, sure do appreciate the help.  I wish I would have  had it last week or before..lol Cheesy
Ok, now the big question!  Anybody have any ideas how I can get my money back?
brother Jim

California sure sounds good to me about now, cuz this winter really sucks.

I guess it would depend on the dealer, but I don't think you'll have any problem getting your money back.
Good Luck!
Mike
