Hey everyone,

Does anyone know who won the contest for the XP. I'm still waiting on delivery to give it a thorough testing here in Carolina. Just kidding but that would be awesome good luck to all. Detecting

I just tried to post a comment in the contest thread but I don't even get the option. Maybe because I just joined I don't qualify?

To have a chance to win a Great Metal Detector without having to subscribe to a dumb magazine  or write a 50 paragraph field test is pretty cool . I missed the opportunity because I registered on this forum too late . But its ok , I have a Good Metal Detector  now that  I use , its old ,  not super deep but the Discrimination I.D. is very accurate . Any way what I wanted to suggest on this Forum is also to have old "Classic metal Detectors that are broken for Future Contests , but they must be complete and original " . "NOT-STRIPPED" or missing something Angry ....examples are Old whites 6000 0r 5900 series or old Garrett ADS'S , old Tesoros ......That will be Great for me and some of the "Electronic Gurus' on this NEW THunting site . Most of the old dinasaur Deep-Seeking Metal Detectors work better than todays so-called Top-of-the-line "GARBAGE" . I am now checking to see if there is a Electronic Thread called ["Metal Detector MISC. Circuits"] on this Thunting Forum . Also a technical or troubleshooting "live Chat-Room" for people in a hurry and have no patients Club,  to get there broken Metal Detector Working !!!! ......Thanks again for this cool improoved THunting website........Regards .................Eugene52

Hello Eugene,

I would appreciate it very much if there was some talk about various projects, home brewn gear and modification to existing stuff on these board. I think it is not all lots of fun but some gear will get greatly improved with some slight mods.

I am very happy that you enjoy the updated THunting.com website! Thanks!

Regards,

Christian

Next year I plan completing 2 or 3 Metal Detector Projects , Two are VLF circuits and one will be PI "Pulse induction" . I will post circuit board / search coil photos here on this forum , and also brief field test results . I did not get any circuits completed last year , but I did finally spend several days Metal Detecting in Southern California with my Whites Eagle  . Found lot's of quarters and dimes , but no gold jewelery ...Yet !!!! ............................Eugene52
