variables, variables, variables......most likely they will slide or be washed down the side of the hill (a lot depends upon the steepness of the terrain and the frequency of rain and the depth to bedrock or some other inpenetrable surface). A good portion of what we call sinking, isn't so much sinking as it is the creation/accumulation of new overburden (soil) covering the coin raising the ground level.
