Hi smacky, Well the elipticle one will be more sensitive to smaller thing and it will work better in junky sites and it will
handle the mineralization better, and it will be better going around rocks and trees and roots and such.

The 705 is a very good mid level detector giving you frequency options albeit you must change coils to change frequencies. The DD elliptical in the HF is a good lightweight coil and will pick up the gold better than the stock concentric. The stock concentric is a MF coil. There are advantages to the different coil options and frequencies depending on your ground mineralization and what and where you hunt.

thanks for the input i can get the 705 with either coil some even offer a 2ND
6in coil in a package deal.
i will most likely get the elliptical coil like you say it will go around things
easier.
PS thanks for the invite to the website when i signed up talking to bitburgaggie
i posted my reply to you in the wrong place so you didn't get it.
bitburg got me on the right track
thanks again smack
