It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

In the top right corner of each page is a block for entering a search term. Enter Yuma and select Entire Forum. That should keep you busy for a while. You can either print each message or save an entire forum topic on your hard drive.

Have fun!

Dartagnan:
Just a word of caution about hunting around Yuma.  Patton's army used the area East and also north of Yuma to train troops, so the desert CAN contain mines, grenades and ammunition. I've found all this and more when hunting the desert. And yes they can still be alive. I shot a personell mine with a 22 rifle and it blew up. So be careful!
As for rock hounding, this area is great. I've found all sorts of deposits, Jasper, Striped Jasper, obsidian, Carnelian, Quartz crystals, fire agate, Sellite, etc, etc. All along the Kofa range and the mountains along the east side of the Colorado River.   Good luck
   Richard Ray
