Go Up Go Down

From the land of the Bluenose.....Tony "T" and I headed out at 7am on a trek across the province to take in the views and seek our fame and fortune or at least spend the day trying! Was a bit foggy in a few spots.

.

Shortly after we had stopped to take this picture the tone for the day was set......we had been yapping so much that Tony forgot to check his gas gauge and we ran out of gas in the middle of no wheres. I put back the seat and tipped my hat over my eyes and slept as Tony hitch hiked to a gas station..........out popped a diamond ring larger than the one before and yet another.......then I awoke as a car pulled in behind the truck.

On the road again I watched Nova Scotia pass by with one eye and the other on the gas gauge. Two hours later we had arrived at a virgin spot and began to dig in the heat of the morning. The penny parade was marching with gusto and not much of interest found save for a pin.

Decided to take a break to grab some grub and take in the view

with the latter being the better of the two.

We then hit a park on the way back with the fog continuing to roll in.

It was here that Tony "T" jumped once for joy and the second in pain! The jump of joy was when the newbie with his Freedom 3 Plus pulled out his first 10k gold ring and the jump of pain was shortly after when he got stung in the hand by a yellow jacket.

Undaunted we continued to take in the coins along with enjoying the ever shrinking view that was afforded us. It did get worse as you can see by this photo. Can you pick out the outline of the Cape Islander in this shot?

Well the 13 hour day was coming to an end with both Tony "T" and I worn out from a digging. His take for the day was the ring and 64 coins! Tony emailed me a photo of his finds.

My take for the day's adventure was 4 keys, a military pin for the HMCS Athabaskan, Indian head pin, musket ball, kid's ring, button and 146 coins @$11.14
