Hi Tri Trackers, a big welcome aboard from Mike in the UK.
Have you tried the HF Pinpointer out in the field yet around your holes and spoil heaps. I'm trying to find out if its got a good depth of field with other metals as well as Iron, before I order one from Harbor Freight over there in the US.

Best regards Mike

THIS IS THE NEW POST BELOW. IGNORE THE REPLY ABOVE ITS A YEAR OLD NOW.

Hi Oro,

Going back to February last year, when we were discussing you getting a pinpoint probe, because of your failing eyesight.
Did you ever get a pinpoint probe that you liked?
I?ve just got a ?Garrett Pinpoint Probe? and have tried it out recently. I have to say ?it?s the best thing since sliced bread?, I can now find an object easily in the spoil heap I have just dug, or around the hole if I?ve missed it.

It?s so easy to home in on the target no need to dig big holes any more. It has a very good range, the ?sound and vibration? builds up the closer you get, you can lay it flat and sweep it or just point it and it has a light. The other good thing is that it comes with a holster to fit to your belt and this has a metal popper on it, so if you leave it switched on when you put it back it warns you by beeping.

I hope you find this useful Oro.
Best regards Mike.

About Probes,  I think I had em all, MY opinion, the Garrett is the best- NOT CHEAPEST, but the best, the harbor freight works good, is cheap, but FRAGILE, if careful with it should last a good while, darn- just get two when you get one,  have a spare  Teach
