, quote: "Tesoro metal detector has an import duty rate of 3.7% and VAT rate of 20%" for importing to the UK from USA. There may also be a handling fee charged (sometimes also known as "Customs clearing fee").

The last time I was in the UK, VAT was 17.5%. Undecided

A local dealer would be your best choice, If not Kellyco will ship to the UK. I bought a coil from them and they shipped it to Italy without a problem.

Unfortunately Kellyco doesn't stock every metal detector available, and sometimes one is forced to buy elsewhere. If you encounter a seller who does not ship overseas, there are ways around it. Take a look at the services offered at

I purchase the product online, have it shipped to my Borderlinx suite address in Ohio and then they ship it to my home address using DHL. Easy peasey! Smiley

BTW, the Customs HS code for metal detectors is 8543.70.90 in case you need to check on the import duties with your local Customs dept. NOTE: Strangely enough, that particular HS code is not mentioned in the 2011 Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States for imported merchandise.
