I was detecting at park on Tuesday and looked up to see a car parking and the woman who got out of the car had a clip board and was heading towards me. I quickly fill in a hole I was searching and just finished when she came up. The woman was with the parks department she said she was a park inspector and asked what I was doing, I explained I was metal detecting and stood up to greet her. She then asked if I was filling all the holes dug I replied yes.
I then showed her some of the broken glass and sharp cut up cans and misc. items I had in my pouch. I told her about all the junk I pull from the tot lots and her reply was someone must not be doing their job. i told no they park workers could clean in up in the afternoon and by the next morning the place would have junk again.
We chatted a little more then she wished me luck.
I tried to kill her with kindness and be a good ambassador for our hobby.
