Hi Mac, I live right on the southern end of Loch Ness, as I said I'm still trying to get started but from what I gather MDing is great here - lots of history - I've got a bid on an MD on the bay at the moment. Hope to get one soon. Maybe get one for my B'day. I think I've seen the beastie three times - once almost certain. Check my web site - augusta.uk.com - Cheers.

Hey Augusta,

Great looking site ya got there! SIGN ME UP! I want to see "Nessie" for myself Rider

Really looks pretty there.

OH YEA< the ghosttown I live in McIntosh, was originally settled in the early 1800's by a fella from Scotland named MacIntosh (the original spelling). The photo is of his original homestead. Notice the "dugout" in the ground to the left of the green trees? That's where he & his family first lived until they built the house.

Go Up Go Down

I started this in my 20s  and then put it away for a few decades.

Now that I've started up again, my brain THINKS I should still be that young; but gravity seems stronger now.

Hmm, maybe it's because I'm 61 now.    Wise

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

They will before too long....(I'm less concerned about mounting the coil and the detector brains than I am in tryint to figure out how to mount and use the digging arm)

Go Up Go Down

I'm 40 and going to be hunting soon. I had back surgery and am healing up, but I am learning as much as I can and I have been getting permission from townships and family and friends to go MD while I am getter better. My wife thinks I'm nuts (she may have a point) but I can't wait to get started! I've been a UPS driver for over 10 years I know a LOT of places to MD.
