Finally got around to sending the xs off to Minelab today. They said they should be able to notify me in about a week if it's repairable. If not, I need to start looking at a new detector. I want to start hunting the beach & out in the water, but also find old sites to detect.
Been looking into an Infinium, but I'm not sure if it would be a 'once size fits all' machine for me. I don't plan on any diving with it, but I do want to get out chest deep in the ocean. Anyone using one now that they'd like to comment on?

Smoldrn, Dont be surprized if they dont fix it because they dont service any machine thats over 10 years old  Cry
which is another reason I changed brands, I spent over $10,000 on their products and sold the Lot,
and I can see there point that they want to sell new machines but maybe some of us want to keep old faithful
going a while longer and due to their dirty tricks campaign I dont have anything to do with them anymore,

anyway I hope you are lucky with this one.
