Hello again . Saw a video on you tube of a gentleman from Hawaii making a sand scoop. So i thought i would give it a try. This is the end result and only cost a grand total of ?7.00 . Great

What a nice looking scoop. Can you give a better view of how the handle is connected? That's always a weak spot in the design.

Hello GoldDigger heres a close up view of the handle fitting. I have reinforced it with 2" washers inside and out making it super strong . Can only show outside as the inside washer is covered with extra rienforcement and i have also added pic of the whole thing now that its finished. Cheers mate. Malc. Great

I saw the inherent weakness there in the handle. I like what you did to compensate for the stress there. The plastic base is nice, too but I like the screen on the original. The wire helps break up clumping sand.

I made mine out of some sheet metal and an old broom handle. I held it together with sheet metal screws and construction adhesive.

Iwas going to make a wire base for it but the wife would'nt let me destroy the bird feeder Violent Grin.
