Silver Fox,

Thanks for the reply.... Those coins are incredible.... How did you clean them so nicely??? My wife and I are looking at coming back to the UK sooner or later, I came from Northampton.
But am maybe thinking about Kent or Sussex.... I cannot wait to get across as they have great metal detecting clubs over there.... Here I am on my own, which makes it very difficult to detect due to safety reasons.

God bless
Peter

Hi Silverfox
My name is Oscar and I am from Cape Town South Africa. I am going to be searching for lost stash of gold coins shortly.just wrapping up the research and setting
travel arrangements in place. I have a few questions I was wondering if you would answer for me.
#1 What type of machine are you using?
#2 How deep was the target?
#3 What signal did it give you.
#4 Where was it found ie, edges of a field or in the middle or in a  Forest?
Now I know that these questions have most probably  been asked and answered but I would really appreciate some feedback.
Congratulations once again and thanks for being so humble about it. I agree research can do a great deal but in the end it's the luck of passing the coil over the target and then interpreting it as a good target. That said, well done I am real envious of this once in lifetime experience you have and I'm sure your'e still having!
Kind regards
Oscar Clapp

Hi Oscar , Have been to north cyprus for a hoilday and just got back , so i will now get to your questions  Welcome The machine i use is made in France .XP Gold maxx power .The hoard was about 15ins down .But found the first coin 4ins one foot away . Detecting
The hoard signal was very big [I some times do not dig big signal as i do not dig iron ] and most big signals are iron . Angry
The hoard was found at the edge of the field near 2 path ways .And lots of luck in finding the GOLD coins . Clapp Clapp . silver fox .
