Beach hunting for burger
I was on Sunday afternoon on beautiful beach of  near Wollongong ,south coast of NSW.
Searching for something new and interesting hoping to find a pot of gold sovereign,  but nothing happened ,not a single sound part from humming noise of detector and birds thinking of my as they next target to sit on. Almost no one on beach. Finally a signal, must be something ,VDI 45 and6” deep wow start digging .In a minute I'm seeing  paper from a Mac D, what is going on. Swing a detector one more time the signal is strong as ever. Slowly pick up rubbish ,put aside  and swing the detector again on top of the hole nothing, again swipe detector on remaining  what use to be a probably burger and a paper signal strong. Well the end of story remaining part of paper rubbish was containing a $6.75 .That day was a lucky day further down the rocky beach I find a more of remaining or left over from a party in form of broken beer glasses and another 22.60 in lost coins Not bad for winter afternoon. What a shame they can't do this in somewhere around golden coins.

It really surprises me where people will put their $$$, but then again, I"m still a rookie.
I'm just glad people decide to leave their $$$ around for us Detectorists to find.
Keep up the good search and HH!  Robroy59

I don't know, but when I was younger, it was always pretty common for a driver to drop their change in the bag when they picked up their order at the drive in window----especially if there was a long line of cars behind you or you were picking up multiple orders and paying for each separately.

Yes, you are right, my mind was playing tricks on me and perceived that the $6.75 was in a burger box, not the bag.

Hi ,to you all.
I like to give you a more details on this finds ,the money was in paper, but rubbish was inside to, you can figured out, what  some people left behind in bag. I find also other money on site which was between the broken glass where some people don't like to clean up after them self. What is appear to be someones rubbish could be your treasure .I like to hunt near high spots on the beach and I always find something, people are seeking high ground for some reason ,mostly where is party on beech at night, in morning is always a good ground to look for treasure, ring and other treasure is common.
I remember that to ,BA you are correct, that was a common over here to ,keep change money in bag, but way to long ago, but maybe someone from old school was on the beach, who knows.
