Bounty Hunter Sharp Shooter II

Hello all,
I have had my detector (Bounty Hunter Sharp shooter II )for many years but never had the time to use it. I have always had a great interest in finding old neat stuff valuable or not. I don't expect to get rich or really even make any money off of anything I find but I have decided to make time for this hobby as it doesn't cost much and is something I think I will enjoy very much. I plan to research my area to learn the history and best places to search and maybe make some contacts to help me on my search. Thanks all.

Hello from Austin.  I've been in the hobby for a long time.  I always say that it is the only hobby I ever had that paid for itself.

Enjoy,
John

Thanks John,
I spent many years commuting to The Austin area its a great place but the traffic is horrible. I have read that there are some good places east of you for hunting though.

Actually, I grew up here in the late 60's and early 70's then managed to escape to Lockhart and then San Marcos.  I met the lady who is now my wife in 2001 and moved back here only because she had kids who couldn't be moved from the county.  We are now close to being able to retire and I can't wait to get back out of this place!  LOL!
