Ladies and Gents truth be known I am Advent on most of the UK metal detecting Forums.
I am a long standing member of the Northumbrian Search Society based in the
City of Durham. (Goggle Durham City and marvel at its history).
In the Society I am the Site Finder and as such its my responsibility to organise
weekly metal detecting outings and the odd Rally or two throughout the year.
On these metal detecting outings I photograph all finds recovered that day by the members.
It gives me great pleasure showing these images to others and I take no credit for these finds,
that credit always goes to those who recover those items.
Items the I recover will be addresed as my find other finds will be labled found by a Member of the
Northumbrian Search Society.
I have posted and responded to several articles on this forum and I do enjoy reading these pages
and seen the friendship herein......

Hi Advent,

No coincidence on the Bitburg part. I went to high school there between 1971 and 1973 while my father was stationed at the American Air Base there. In fact, Bitburg is where I met my wife and where I first laid hands on a metal detector (not that I did much detecting either then or since up until this past year......had the bug but managed to keep from scratching the itch for the most part. )

By the way Bitburger Pils is still one of my favorite beers.
