I can smell it from here, CC. Or, I will on Sunday.

By the way, don't forget that we are a day ahead of you here in Oz. If you want, I can ring your late Sunday and tell you who won so you can get your bet in on Saturday. Cool, eh?

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Appreciate the offer, GD. I have a good friend that lives in Peak Crossing, Queensland and now you've got me wondering how the old chicken munger is doing.

Well, CC, you'd better try and contact him. Just remember that much of the infrastructure there is gone at the moment and he may not have access to the Internet. There is a phone number you can ring to see about friends and family. There were only a handful of fatalities but he may be among the wandering dispossessed.
