Hiya Mike,

Welcome to Thunting.  I too have been MDing for a few years and visit this site on/off - decided to now stay with the site and learn from those with more experience then I have.  Hope you are staying warm in NJ - guess we have about the same weather - I'm in Harrisburg, PA.

Do you go to the beach in good weather?  Find anything neat?  I try to get down to FL around the Daytona area right after spring break.  Haven't really found anything of real value - beer cans mostly!  But hopefully one of these days I'll hit something.

Take care and good luck searching.

Bob

Hi Bob, Thanks for the welcome .How are things in Harrisburg? Ahh this weather .. :Smiley The snow here is 7 inchs ,enough to make it a pain .I live near the coast and get out there when I can ,lots of clad and some gold for those who put a lot of time and effort into locating the hot spots .I like relics and old stuff in the back woods ,so I am out in the sticks more than the beach lately .Did find a great "sister gift to sister"  silver bracelet last month  "would of tracked down owner if they had ID'ed it ",I might post it once I get familiar with this site .Hope to get to see your finds 2 ..Catch ya down the road  Bob,  Mike Cool
Thanks Simson ..Looking forward to some good times here !! Do you find any WW2 stuff in France .I like to see some finds from there . Bonjour  mon amie  Mike

Hi, those 1265-x detectors sure are good for getting down deep in mineralized soil. I never owned one but owned two 1266-x detectors and wish I'd kept one of them...for relic hunting. Of course I moved up to a cz-5 and cz-6  both really deep detectors. I don't have any of those now and just sold my cz-6 a few months back. I've only been using my buddy's Sovereign since I sold that cz-6. Haven't made up my mind what unit I want to buy for my next detector and I have access to this one anytime I want it it seems...but I do plan on buying another unit sometime coming up if nothing happens.

Hi Treasuremomo!! Not sure of the reason U sold them . Guessing...Times get tough ,  somethings must go ..understand that! Been there .1265 X is a great machine ,deep on relics and coins ..Like the CZ-7 for beach hunting but prefer the old dog,out in the dirt & woods .Thanks for stopping in CMD Smiley

Hey Mike,  thought I'd officially say "Hi" and welcome to the forum.   I've been reading some of your other posts already.   Looks to me like you're going to fit in real well.

Nice watch......and as far as getting on peoples nerves, it seems a lot of us are guilty of it occasionally.   It's what you do after you get on their nerves that makes a difference.   Besides, I haven't seen anybody getting genuinely jealous of someone else's finds---especially if the person showing the find includes an occasional tip in his/her story.
