Hi Baatar and welcome! I've never said hi to anyone from Mongolia before so this is a treat. I saw a film a long time ago where gold nuggets were considered sacred and, whenever someone found one exposed on the surface, it was reburied again. Maybe it was Tibet not Mongolia. Still, I associate Mongolia with nuggets. Is that what you hunt for? Is metal detecting popular in Mongolia?  Sue

Mongolia is the place to be.
There is a shortage of top end minelab detectors in Australia...
If you want one you have to put your name on a list and wait.
Apparently they all have been shipped to Mongolia where there is a great gold rush.
Baatar welcome to the forum and please keep us posted with your finds.

HELLO Sue! thank you for your posting.

Mongolia is rich country.

I hunt for nuggets and small pieces of gold.

Metal detecting is not popular in mongolia. because there is less knowledge of the metal detector and metal detection method but now mongolian some people are understanding metal detector useful and increased to use metal detector and buy md

Bataar;  Waveing

Hi, I have been looking at you with Google earth, well, at least I was this spring, I, being a horse person, (like horses) consider Mongolia to be one of the best places in the world, because of horses! Kind of like horse Heaven.

Anyway, with Google Earth, I found some old, buried buildings... buried in sand but you can see the outlines. Interested??

Even a simple metal locator would be good, there, it would be like a sighted man in the land of the blind.... maybe you will tell us about the laws there, that pertain to treasure hunting, relic hunting, and gold hunting in general??

Bataar;

Keep looking, practice on some lead pieces, to be sure it is working.  Shocked

Try dry stream beds, too.
