We had the remnants of a cyclone (hurricane to you northern hemisphere types) come close today. Should pass by to the south overnight. If not, we will get buckets of rain here, too. We do need it, like all of Australia does, but not all at once. Another storm coming in on the east coast. Could be deadly again. Pray for them.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

We just now dodged a bullet here in Perth with our cyclone, Bianca, moving past us to the south. It was to make landfall right now and the sky is clear and beautiful. Still warm though. No relief from the heat in sight until early in the week. It's 2:00am and 25C (77F).

On the east coast, their cyclone, Anthony, is brushing the coast spreading more rainfall as I write this.

One thing is for sure. This lovely old planet of ours always surprises us with the weather.
