Hi to all, especially to Christian for the lovely invitation to come and join up with fellow hunters of bullion globally.

My background is  in WW II History, and with over 43 years of research, that has taken me to 94 countries in the pursuit of this History,it has given me a greater understanding of the dynamics of the war as it unfolded across the globe for 6 years. There are many aspects of it yet to discover,as the theatres were on such a large canvas,.,.I have read much up on  the vast losses of bullion that were shipped by many nations, especially from the UK/US/Canada,that saw several thousand tons of gold/silver/platinum sent to the bottom by German subs.Much more was lost from other origins also, and I have a Bank of England data file comprising many hundreds of ships  & locations.

Most people are unaware of these losses,as the general public in wartime were never informed,.,.,.the info is gleaned only by a lot of time and by my close relationship with Archivists in various establishments globally.

Thanks again to you Christian for the invite here!
Yours

Hello Tezz and thank you for following my invitation!

By the way, just yesterday some of my family from downunder has arrived in all cloudy and rainy Germany. I will do some sight seeing with the tomorrow. It's tough to come from Cairns into the German rain  Cry

But back to treasure talk! I hope that we will be having some good discussion on the lost WW2 treasures.

Due to my place of living I have mainly done research into WWII treasures buried on land but I'm sure that there is much more of it to be found on the bottom of the ocean.

Maybe Craig who is also on the board has some information that you could exchange.

Thanks again for joining and let's try to discover some of the lost treasure one day,

Christian

Hey Tezz..my nickname is Taz...something to do with the Cartoon devil and my bad temper looking somewhat alike.

Good to see an "ANZAC" on the board.
I am not a treasure kind of guy..I like the dug Military relics and have over 250 buttons and badges from all over the world dating late 1700s to WW2..I have a very nice Aussie WW1 Collar badge and 2 buttons..one with 4 stars and one with your Country on it..both from WW1 sites in the UK.
My main focus is WW1 Canadian..but I really like war of 1812 stuff found in NA.

Please post photos of some of your stuff..I know that I and many other members would love to see it...I have a fairly large Military collection myself...almost had a Bren gun Carrier last year..need it to carry the bren!!
