My back yard is now all fenced in, so I don't have dog issues anymore (for now).

For now is right......just wait until they figure out they can dig under the fence or someone on the other side leaves a stack of stuff too close to the fence.   Could be worse, you could have bigger dogs next door.   You wouldn't believe the vertical jump my Australian Cattle Dog/Queensland Heeler is capable of from a standing start (sitting position or standing with all 4 paws firmly planted on the ground.).....and given a running start (wow!) And then there are all the mandatory mid-air twists, turns, and flips that she insists on throwing in just for the thrill of it.   My little corgi, on the other hand was quite content in his younger days to go under obstacles once he got to big to squeeze through them.

Okay!  Okay!    Turtle Question:       How do you know if a turtle is sleeping?  Theoretically his head would be in the shell...  do you crawl in the shell with it to see?   If his head is out, how do you know he is sleeping?   Maybe he just closed his eyes in the bright sun...  or was resting his eyelids  (I do that a lot during the days now!)

When I was a kid we had chickens.  Didn't have any trouble with critters getting in.  Our dog was a cocker spaniel and chickens were beneath his dignity to chase!  (Well...  that's what he told me!)
