Hi, I've just joined so bear with me if this is the wrong place to post this.  I'm interested in myths and legends such as Yamashita's gold from WWII.  I also collect military memorabilia and do photography.  In my next life I think I will come back as an archaeologist or anthropologist.  Right now I am spending my energy on mathematical physics but I am about 2 years from retiring.  However old physicists never die, they just reach equilibrium.  If anyone has information on this legand of Yamashita please let me know.
Thanks
Bobby

Hello, DrBobby.

You picked an excellent spot for your post, Myths and Legends......especially given how most of us feel about the Yamashita gold tales (have fun with that one---there are true believer and true skeptics).    BUT I figured since it was your first post, the New User Introduction board is the best place for it.
So, welcome to THunting.com.   We hope to hear read your contributions to the legend analysis----who knows, you may even convince some of us skeptics.

Thank you for your welcome.  In my reading I find that there are about 50/50 of believers to skeptics as well, however, there is some evidence that points to the fact there is something to be believed about it.  I will look for the board on Yamashita and see what is there.  If the story is true, the PI seems to be the place for looking for treasure as well as the islands around and in that area.  Many legands have come from that area.  Again, thank you for the welcome.
