I'm not cranky at all. However, your posting style seems to be that if a topic doesn't have your personal comment, it's not worth reading. That's not a criticism, just an observation. When you "shotgun" your replies, sometimes you miss what is not really a fine detail but a glaring bit of evidence. Old Bomber should be welcoming you, mate.

I admit that I am a nit picker. Sometimes the tiniest detail that others overlook can lead you to a treasure recovery. You really should practice picking at nits, mate. Seriously.

Truth be told I am the cranky one and am tired of folks who just add a welcome or a nice find without ever reading the whole thread. As GD said your shotgun style of posting is getting old and a high post count want help you out.

First off I do read the post.

I made one mistake and then I get publicly get chastised for it.

but if my saying hello bothers you then fine i wont say hello anymore.

and not all posts here am i interested in , i only answer those with a subject that i have an intrest in.

and the reason i post so much is cause it's freaking cold out, and as a disabled vet i don't have anything else to do.

How are you being humiliated by the moderators. Out of your 368 plus post you have not add a thing of only welcomes and a few nice finds, all that was done was that fact was pointed out to you. If don't want to be here just walk away not deleting any accounts because you have thin skin

Come on guys! I know it is cold out there and not much to do ... but argueing with each other is not the way to go. If I may add my two cents:

1. I think it is a very good thing if someone takes his time and the effort to welcome new members and to congratulate others for their finds. Hence what our member Karl does is an asset to the site.

2. Of course any post should be done in a serious way. Hence a longtime moderator shouldn't be welcome to the site anymore ... but then again it doesn't hurt anyboy.

So to sum up I think we all should take things a bit more light hearted and relax. So Karl please re-consider your intention to leave the site. I wouldn't to see you go away. Please also do your postinsg carefully as to not welcome the wrong persons.
