and if you look at the side of this page they are currently offering a kids detector if you buy it. just follow the link. I am not sure if they ship to the UK I would contact and find out. If they do not do a search for "treasure hunter xj9 3050" and UK I did see a UK ebay site that had some for sale. hope that helps you, I waiting only two day left and i can play around and see what it can do.

Have a good day, and good hunting
Keith

Welcome from NY.... Your gonna love the new hobby... until you and the new machine become "one"... dig it all and take notes on how your unit reacted to the find... soon you will have a good idea of whats in the ground before you even dig...Happy hunting...

Just updating, i did get the detector yesterday. I am new to allthis and think i am doing something wrong. I have the sensitivity turned up most the way, have discrimination turned on,have surface elimination turned on, have ground balance turn to high, and i keep hitting one the 25 and 50 cent over and over at 12+ inch deep (which is also the silver side) but no matter how far i have dug ( about 14-16 inches on most of them. I have not found anything. i have a big area the dose this. do i have a setting wrong ? I have keeping the coil flat in my sweeps. I did find a very ole .22 bullet. I am confused about the 25 and 50 cent hits i am getting and it not just one spot it in alot of spots. ( this is in my yard i have 2.5 acres). Anyone see something i am doing wrong or something i have set wrong.

not sure about the settings, but the biggest mistake I see Nobie's making is in the pinpointing... If you are even off by an inch you are digging in the wrong spot and you will never find it. On my detector I use the depth ready to pinpoint... Slowly move the coil until you get the shallowest depth reading... The find will be dead center of the coil... I hope this helps you some... Maybe some one else with the same detector can chime in here and give you some pointers on the settings... good luck....
