Hey all, figured I'd get my old detector out of storage and start T-Hunting again. I'm in Salt Lake City Utah presently but have never hunted here. I bought a cheap detector about 15 years ago now but have'nt used it much. I'm serving in the Army working with Reservists right now. Anyone know of good spots to try out in central to north Utah?

Hey Lifer, welcome to the boards and thank you.   Have you tried looking in the general discussion- location board (found down towards the bottom of the home page) ?  There is a sub-board there which has several posts which might be applicable.   Also, if you can get your hands on a copy of Those Forgotten Places Vol 2 -- Utah by D. Gordan McNab, you'll have a true treasure trove of potential hunt sites organized by county.   Copies are rare, so you might not even find it in the library, but do look for it.   I've got the Arizona volume and it's paid for itself.
