BA replied in another post about my "Pocket Dime Bank".
He mentioned something about a (Globe bank).
I was wondering if this is what he was talking about?
The Globe bank was found under a deck with a variety
of other toys and trinkets near a lake lot where the new
owners had removed a mobile home.
The owners told me I could have anything I found there if I wanted it.

The Zip Code bank was purchased by me, back when I was a pre-teen,
at a Goodwill store for 10 cents.
Both of these are Ohio Art "tin" banks.

yep, that's would be it.   Of course, mine had been sitting out exposed to the elements for a good 70-80 years before I found it.   If I hadn't recognized it based on the placement of the coin drop slot relative to the equator and the coin-retrieval hole, I would have overlooked it or wondered what it was.   I'm still disappointed that it had no money in it when I found it (but what do I expect from a depression era dump?)

OMG, I had one of those globe banks!  Cry I got it as a present when I was a kid and always kept it in my bedroom as I grew up. When I got married at 23, my parents sold their house and all my stuff, stored in a little storage room under the house, was not removed and that's how I lost all my mattel hotwheels, toys, comics, avon perfume bottles, baseball cards, a marine fossil collection, and other goodies that nowadays would worth some money.  Although for me they just meant my childhood Cry

I know the feeling I lost a complete Fantastic Four collection dated to 1970 and Justic league.....
They were just funny books to my Mom.

You know those things are now really valuable. My baseball cards and my comic books were all passed on to me by my youngest uncle when he moved to New York in the late 60s.  Undecided Thank you for the good memories.
