 Found this wrench relic hunting near an old colonial plantation site near my home. Trouble is can't seem to find out much about it.

Thanks for the help. I think I found what it is supposed to look like without the years of rust. Looks like it is from the 1860's to 1870's.

Congrats, I'll hazard a guess--this tool/wrench was meant to be used to tighten or loosen Fight a special nut that was triangular in shape... Just a Country-boy guess...ha!  Maybe wrench made to turn a cog wheel, etc.  I see someone Identified it as a alligator wrench...Huh?Huh??
Heres ya a sentence using Alligator wrench:

  Papa got mad and almost flenched, but instead he pinched him with the aligator wrench! LOL!!!
