it could be your offset or delay that are set wrong (presuming all your connections are correct and your diodes are facing the correct way etc...) if these are too far out any return signal will not register. I.e. looking at a sample too quickly before the return signal or too late... then again I could be wrong .. I'm still fairly new to this.
also double check your resistor values are all correct... I was building my SurfPI today and noticed, completely by chance, that I have been supplied the wrong resistor .. 47k instead of 1M ... it had been written on the tag 1M but it did feel quite right, something was wrong.... carried on building the circuit then later checked it with my multi-meter... yup I was right..
.. so now I goota desolder it and find a 1M resistor - Not supplied ..
I've e-mailed the supplier.. and its all in hand... so not to worry
I'll be up and running soon...
I hope you manage to find your fault soon... hint - test!all your resistor values with a multimeter (circuit turned off, disconnected from power supply)
good luck!
