We have scoured the earth to hell's gate and came up lucky! My brother and I set out to find gold that would be easily accessible to beginners and have found some great spots in southern Idaho. We are trying to spread the word to people around the area that are interested and would like some experience before going into the wild blue yonder. It has been a great summer meeting new people and fellow miners that like to give a hint or tip to help out. We have great places for panning, sluicing, and dredging(permit required). It seemed like a great idea this spring and panned out very well. We introduced about 12 people to the "gold fever" and had a great time doing it. After all the clean-up from this year we have totalled about 22.3 grams or just over $1200!! Great Hope everyone else has had a good year and may the gold shine in your pan.

As a Life Member of GPAA found majority of claims have been hunted hard. Cannot wait to start detecting again here in AZ since temps are a lot cooler and snakes are in hiding.....hate snakes.

First thing you should do is go to New Users board and introduce your self.

Next thing you should do is Have a Look in the Prospectors Talk board.   All the information your asking is in there.  Look in Mining Law.

Go Up Go Down

I know that this is a long ago post, but I will throw this in here about finding gold.  Here In Albuquerque, NM the local GPANM club has a couple of great claims.  I was at on one of their claims on 5/5/2012 with about 50 club members and everyone in the club did find some gold.  I was with about 4 other people and all we did is rake down the loose dirt about 6" deep and moved about 4 yards of dirt through a drywasher and found about $75.00 worth of gold.  It took us about 4 hours to run the dirt.  Earlier in the month, one of the members found a nugget that weighed about an oz. A couple of other guys about 25 yards away up higher on the hill from us found some larger nuggets than us and came out with about $200.00 worth of gold.  It was a great day for all of the prospectors that were there on Cinco De Mio.  I look forward to going to the claim again very soon as soon as the ground dries up a little.  We have had lots of rain in the last couple of days.  But the gold is out there if you know how to process the ground that you are on.  Happy Hunting!!!!
