Go Up Go Down

The issue of public lands and our access comes up on this forum all the time. Many of us feel as we have no power over the subject at hand at all... and it is true. Each of us as an individual has essentially no power and no voice. I don't mean to be a downer but, well, that's life. However, if each individual joins together, then we have an organization... a formidable force to be dealt with and heard. There are several organizations fighting for our rights on public lands, but the one that stands out and is on the front lines of the legal battles that will and do affect all of us and that is Public Lands for the People. All I say is check out the website: plp2.org

In all fairness, I am not a member. I do however support them. The prospecting clubs I am a member of support PLP, but my favorite way to support is their wicked sick raffle.

So, write your congressman, maintain a good public image, introduce as many people to the activity as possible, and support an organization that is fighting for your rights.

Thanks for hearing out my rant,

Sean  Rider

Homefire,
Never thought of that, but it makes a lot of sense. People get junk email all of the time, and most people use email on a whim... but a hand written letter is more personal. It is kinda like lookin a guy right in the eyes with your shoulders back, calling him on his lies.
