Hi Carl Good to have you back with us. If you can go down to bed rock it will be where you will find the most gold if there is any and if you can reach it.

Yes that is where the big stuff usually lies, but you can also find a lot of smaller stuff along the way. I usually find a place where bedrock crosses the stream, then I know there is a good possibility that the bedrock in the stream is not too far down. However the biggest limitation is that I have to stay on the claims that the club owns.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

20 Acres each. Dredging is limited to the stream beds that coarse through them.

Well that's big enough, I use to have a 5 acres plot so I can visualize the size of it well.

Is that the standard size of a mining claim where you were?

@ Golddustcarl

Big problems there to get a permit but for me it would not have been an issue because I already have a diamond miners license. The plot that I was referring to was my property but I got rid of it in 1984 I should have kept it though. So when are you going to show us some color   Cheesy
