Dears,

last month some members of our civic association did participate as a volunteer in the field, where we tried indexed place former La Téne culture (European Iron age, 5 century BC app.) village or graveyard. And I did do it, of course, too.  We are working for Podebrady regional museum. Last year we found some bronzes (whorls, bracelets etc) there and they had handover to museum. This year, in line agriculture scheduled dates, we have a chance for continuing at work, the same place.
You can see a map of finds, place of major concentration of finds is visible. We will see if our project will continue as regular and full archaeology research there.

regards

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Nice! We need a system in the USA that protects finder as keeper as well as protecting the history behind the find. Making finders into pirates is NOT the answer. It only promotes criminals and the govt. that protects and or defends them. Know your rights, also know that you have none here.

Hello All

It is not a bad system they have over there in the UK with there treasure trove laws. But it will only take a few bad apples to spoil it for the rest. It is System perhaps America and Australia as well as few other countries should look at.
