Below are three edged relics, found in Europe, minus the handles which probably disappeared decades ago. The biggest daggar was about eight inches deep in the soil with the tang encased by a tree root. I couldn't dislodge the knife from the root clutches because I didn't have an appropriate tool. I went back the next day with some sort wood cutting tool and was able to retrieve the daggar.
A knowledgable person told me the dagger was very sharpeso a knife user could get through the chain mail of an opponent in combat.
