Hi Zester,
I sure would like my canonballs to look like yours when I get back to Canada I'll get that info from you .
Been out today to the farm I have permission to hunt it is loaded with Shcrapnell from the AA guns that were all over Essex during WW2, did get some coins and musket balls, didn't bring my battery charger for my camera and the battery has died cant take any pix in situe right now but I am enjoying the solitude of detecting alone its great, out again tomorrow...........HH......Johnnn

I would be careful banging the cannon ball with a hammer.  Some of them had powder and fuses in them I hear.  I found one once and the President of my THing club called the meeting to order by banging my cannon ball on the pulpit.  Someone hollard out not to do that and we were all saved.
