Go Up Go Down

Last Friday at lunch I got to do some detecting for about an hour. It was in a city park near my house. It had been a month since my last silver coin so I was kinda listening for silver and skipping a lot of good targets. I only dug six targets and this is what I found. 2 silver rings both stamped 925. The small one was a toe ring and the other was a heavy womens ring. Both rings were less than 2 inches deep. Sorry for the pics they were done with my phone.

2 silver rings out of 6 targets is great. The phone pics are handy and don't look bad at all. Just noticing the detectors you have - bet you've found a lot. Sue

Hellow Sue

I sell Metal Detectors so I get to play with alot of different brands, but I use my E-Trac for most of my hunting. If I am not using my E-Trac I will probably be using a Fisher F2. The F2 is at the other end of the spectrum compared to the E-Trac but it is a great coin machine. I told myself when I found those 2 rings that I would probably go a month without finding another Cry

Thanks
Todd

hi todd, nice silvers you found,I find the fisher F2 a great all round detector,I use it as a back up machine, its a super park hunter, and also not bad on the fields, problem is the depth,ok most modern coins rings ect are in its range, but when relic hunting I normaly use the minelab xterra 305,cant wait to hit that roman site with it,just a question?Huh?,do you sell detectors over seas for export?Huh?,how much dose the xterra 505 cost in the US,the problem in Europe is when you import a detector from the states they hit you for import tax and that can cost more  then the detector price here(unless you declare it as a gift from out side the EU,and not as imported goods). With the week US dollar Its worth it for us europeens to think about, could be good for your business also, any way see what price you can do on the xterra505,thanks mike

Hello Mike

Thanks to Minelab/Codan new buisness model I will no longer be a dealer for them and I do not have a 505 in my inventory.
The 505 cost $549.95 US dollars. I dont know about sending one across the pond. It would probably cost more than its worth. If you wait about 6 months or so the dollar should realy be worthless and then you can shop for bargins. The only problem with that idea is that Minelab is a foreign company and they are good about raising prices accordingly. The Xterra machines are good ones they should work just fine on those Roman sites hunting hammies. One of these days I am going to make it over their and get a chance to hunt some real old stuff. Great
Good luck with the 505

Thanks
Todd

thats well cheep,550 dollars for the xterra 505,costs ca 500euro here(720 dollar),I paid 390 euro for the 303 in germany(575 dollar),what a diffrence in price(at least our modern coins are of higher value, find a lot of 2 and 1euros so the detector pays for its self quicker, lol),any way thanks again,I of now wit the 303 to see what I can find to day, will post my finds later, good luck and HH mikek

My favorite would have to be the Minelab E-Trac which is what I use most after that I would have to say the Fisher F75.

Good Luck
Todd

I have found 2 rings this year with my F2. They both TID as pull tabs. Its not my detector of choice for ring hunting but it will work. Most rings are found because you choose to dig everything. Both of those rings registered FE 12 CO16 on my E-Trac which is about were some pull tabs register or even nickles .
Yes I like the F2 and Yes it will find rings.

Thanks
Todd
