Salvor . Now you can see that maps out of that era are completely worthless  . The map is just a guess  and has nothing to do with reality .  Besides the map is upside down from the modern way of mapmaking . South is drawn North . This was done quite often in that time . As long as you take it in consideration there is nothing wrong . Exept of course that the map is completely worthless . Thanks for your post .  Cornelius

Cornelius,
No, I wouldn't say those ancient maps are worthless. Many of them are still quite informative and valuable because with some detailed investigating of the old names and coast lines you can still sometimes pinpoint many areas that exist today and that makes them invaluable sometimes as aids for your maritime research.

Yes Tony , I agree with you . Any old map may have information on it . However they should only be used in research . Unless ofcourse when you can get a hold of some of the  ,, van Keulen ,, maps  . Tese maps are pretty accurate and have a lot of information on them . Even with this information you should do your research to narrow everything down . I don't know if Salvor 6 was aware of the fact that many old maps were drawn with North to the bottom and South to the top  ( look at the Island Banka on the map that Salvor showed ). As you said all it takes is a guy with deep pockets to finance a salvage operation .  Cornelius
