Aquascan updated it's Aquapulse detector last year. Now, it has a smaller case, NiMH battery (better than NiCd), velcro fastening system for fast changeover between it's various mounting methods, and have taken out it's one major weakness - the power knob that when hit would destroy the switch behind it. The detection distance has increased slightly too.
I know that the prices are being reviewed at the moment, and are likely to rise due to an increase in production costs. They have put a few of their systems on eBay though... search for Aquapulse.
They also have their diver held magnetometer for sale on there. Search for DX200
