Welcome from Australia, Brian.

How can anyone ever know if a pirate has only one treasure? To be quite frank about things, I doubt that many pirates buried any treasure. They had to buy food, provisions, water, pay for repairs on their ship, upkeep on their ship and still pay their crew from their treasure booty and like any business person, they got to keep what was left and that was probably not very much.

Contrary to the stories of untold wealth, there may never have been any significant buried treasure to recover. And if there was, I guarantee you that anyone recovering it would not tell the tale. That's the way treasure hunters are. Secretive.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
