Heads up, Frank. Check the fineprint on Kellyco's return policy. If I recall, there's a restocking fee or something like that.

I'd like to see how this machine performs on highly mineraliazed soils and in shallow salt water. Would greatly appreciate info on how stable it runs when the coil's submerged.

You're 100% correct about what you said of Kellyco.I'm communicating with someone in England at the moment who bought one of these and is currently testing it.He did an air test on youtube so I contacted him.I told him that his air test results were different than the air test results done by Nokta for the Golden Sense, and they were different.I told him to use a man's gold ring for a test and bury it.He's going to get back to me after some field tests. The most astounding thing was the test for Golden Sense where they buried a medium size silver ring in almost 2ft. of dirt and got a strong hit.I know of no detector that can do that, even a PI detector.I am going to ask him to do the same exact test with a silver ring buried and film the results. Will let you know when this happens.

Thank you Frank. I saw the same air test vid on Youtube...seemed rather decent. Hope he makes a thorough evaluation with in-soil targets soon!

Xavier,

A full review of the Nokta Golden Sense will appear in the January 2013 issue (available in the UK in December 2012) of The Searcher magazine.

Is it available on line? Once you read it, you should be able to make a decision.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Relicsjoe, a poster named ganixle in another site has posted his thoughts on the Golden Sense. I believe he is a resident of Florida and is willing to discuss the machine over the phone. Maybe it's worth a PM and a call? If you do contact him, I hope you can post the gist of your conversation here.

Ganixle's post can be found at

Unfortunately The Searcher magazine has no online edition, and only offers physical copies for sale. Hope someone can be kind enough to give us a rundown of the review after it's published next year.

Anyone who is interested. You can see a test of the Golden Sense on youtube. This is not an air test. The person actually buries coins at a depth of 10inches.In fact, you'll see a comment I posted. This same person did an air test a few months ago.Go to youtube and type Golden Sense and you'll find the video.Nokta also came out with an even newer model called Nokta Velox.Just passing the info for anyone interested.I ended up buying the Pulse Master Pro from Bulgaria instead.
