ArfieBoy, have you used the search function at the top right corner of the page.   If you put in Teknetics G2 and search Entire Forum, you should come up with about a dozen previous post.   A couple of them look like they might be what you're looking for.  At the very least, you'll have some members you can PM.

hi  i have made a modification to this unite i replaced the first aluminum stick with hard pvc and i found
it stopped the noisy sounds and it gives better performance

The Teknetics G2 and the Fisher Gold Bug DP are rather similar. Both are made by First Texas, use dual microprocessors and operate at the same kHz. I really don't know why they are marketed under different brand names; maybe to exploit name-brand loyalty? Anyways there's a wealth of info in the G2/Goldbug forum at
