Go Up Go Down

Hit 4 different parks today. First park found out was a State park. So a no go against the law in state parks.  Angry Second park had to be the cleanest one I've ever seen. Had 8 play areas, 4 each swing sets and jungle gym sets. 20 cents very little trash. Think its on another metal detectors route or something. Next one was the big one. I think I hit quarter heaven. $2.95 9 quarters and heres the kicker, a 1946 D quarter in the group!!!  Grin 4 nickles, 3 dimes, 35 cents. One broken junk bracelet, 8 mm wrench, one junk ear ring, a ball needle. And one little boys leather black belt new if its over a day or two old it would surprise me. I found most of the stacked stuff. I had a hard time figuring out where to check. I get a bunch of dings all in a group and end up with several coins or items. I was glad to have the pin pointer on this. Any ways except for the belt here's today's take.  Last park 15 cents.

I forgot to ask. I'm fairly new at this. Does a silver coin or other silver item normally turn up pretty clean like this? It was found pretty shallow so I'm assuming it may not have been in the ground long, but the silver ring I found was fairly deep 6 inches or so. But still pretty clean. Just used to clad and cents turning up so not sure.

Usually.  Most of the silver I have dug up looks like it did the day it was lost.  I have found some silver that, depending on the makeup of the soil, have come out of the ground tarnished.  That is pretty rare, though.  Good Luck and great finds to you.   Detecting
