out swinging the detector... found a 1944 aluminum 1 franc, 1972 10 centime, one undetermined bronze coin (very poor condition) and a 1711or 1712  6- denier (King Louis XIV).  This is the 3rd 6 denier coin that I found and two of them came from the same field... The aluminum french coins that I have found dating 1941-44 are aluminum and instead of being identified as the country of France, they are identified as the state of France (perhaps due to WWII). Once the posting problem is resolved, I will attach photos. Coloma Gold

Congratulations, Coloma Gold.  You are doing great this year.  Keep it up and "keep on swingin'!"  Thanks for sharing.  Look forward to your photos.   How far south in France are you?    Detecting

Arfieboy,

I am located between Avignon & Marseille (actually about 12 miles south of Avignon and about 35 miles from Marseille/mediterranean sea).  I may be able to detect a neighbor's property tomorrow ( about 4 acres)  Grin

Congratulations on being able to search your neighbor's land.  Look forward to your posts about the future hunts there.  Randy

I'm hoping that you will be able to resolve the picture
posting problems Coloma Gold. You have some really
nice finds and I, for one, would love to see what they
look like. Keeping the fingers crossed for luck.  GL

If Gold is where you find it, then I need to start looking somewhere else.
