I have been metal detecting for about a year , while I have some great finds , looking back on my trips that usually last about an hour and a half , I find that I average about $1.00 in clad coins per trip.
I am curious after looking back through this fun year how it measures up to everyone else's experience. Maybe I search the wrong places or need more experience.
I have found silver , a 1928 standing liberty quarter , a pair of 3 cent trimes in a "kiddie cache" , a 1957 quarter and even a gold class ring but those are understandably rare exceptions.
Some of the posts on the finds boards have me feeling a little inferior , but then I have only posted the "homerun finds"....
Thank you for your input , i will keep swinging even though I'll have to stop when the ground freezes soon.
